Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an inquisitive and forward-thinking engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mechatronics design, machine performance optimization, and harnessing Generative AI to drive continuous improvement and learning. You will be at the forefront of designing precision machines, testing their performance, troubleshooting issues, and building a knowledge database that empowers future innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
Conceptual & Detailed Design
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop precision machinery with strong mechatronics focus.
- Prepare layouts, engineering views, 3D models, and bills of materials for assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Deliver final design configurations, layouts, and production / engineering data.
Machine Testing & Troubleshooting
Conduct machine testing and validation of designed systems.Perform troubleshooting, resolve issues, and improve machine reliability.Gather in-company data on machine performance and past troubleshooting cases.Knowledge Creation & AI Enablement
Compile and structure machine performance insights into an AI-powered e-learning database .Collaborate on initiatives to leverage Generative AI for engineering and troubleshooting support.Customer Engagement
Travel overseas to customers’ facilities to observe machines in operation, collect user feedback, and propose future design improvements.Communicate with customers (including Mandarin-speaking clients in China) to understand technical requirements and machine performance feedback.Requirements :
Degree in Mechatronic Engineering.Proficient in SolidWorks 3D design software.Prior experience in designing precision equipment / machinery.Computer-savvy with strong interest in Generative AI applications.Inquisitive, eager to learn, and driven by problem-solving.Willingness to travel internationally and engage with customers on shopfloors.Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate in Mandarin with customers in China.Tell employers what skills you have
