Overview
APCO Worldwide is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our team as Project Consultant, Public Affairs. At APCO Singapore, the hub for Southeast Asia at the world’s leading global advisory firm, you’ll work on projects that shape conversations at the intersection of business, policy, and society.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and driven to perform at a high level. You’ll be expected to think critically, take initiative, and deliver with precision as you help clients navigate uncertainty, manage complexity, and deliver impact across the region and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Drive Client Success : Craft compelling, high-quality deliverables—from issue monitoring reports and news digests to policy memos, briefing books, press releases, and pitch decks—that help clients stay informed and ahead of the curve
- Fuel Business Growth : Keep a sharp eye out for new opportunities by tracking RFPs, diving deep into background research, and contributing smart, strategic input to proposal development
- Stay Ahead of the Headlines : Monitor and understand media, government, and political landscapes to deliver timely, relevant updates that shape client strategy and response
- Shape the Narrative : Manage select media relations efforts, helping clients tell their stories with clarity, credibility, and impact
- Orchestrate with Precision : Support account leads by coordinating meetings, timelines, and project workflows—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
- Be a Thought Partner : Join internal and client meetings ready to contribute sharp insights, thoughtful suggestions, and not be afraid to move things along
- Adapt and Elevate : Take on additional responsibilities as needed, always with a mindset of growth, agility, and excellence
What We’re Looking For
University degree or higher, preferably in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionallyA motivated self-starter who seeks out answers, asks thoughtful questions, and pushes work forward without waiting to be toldAn intellectually curious and eager to learn individual, with a genuine interest in strategic communications and public affairsA detail-oriented and dependable persona who is able to deliver high-quality outputs such as news summaries, policy briefs, fact sheets, and press materialsA trusted point of contact to support and manage client communications, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, tracking progress and for day-to-day needsAbility to keep a close watch on current events, media trends, and political developments, and can turn that awareness into meaningful insights for clientsCollaborative team player who brings a positive attitude and fresh perspective to internal discussions and client engagementsCuriousity about business development and open to supporting research, proposals, and opportunity trackingAdaptability, proactiveness, and being comfortable in taking on new challenges as they ariseFamiliarity with media monitoring tools, stakeholder mapping, or advocacy work is an advantageWhat We Offer
