Roles & Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination : Oversee and coordinate the timely shipment, delivery, loading, and unloading of supplies and provisions required for cruise vessel operations. Monitor shipment schedules and ensure alignment with cruise itineraries and turnaround times at various ports.
Vendor Relations and Quality Assurance : Conduct routine visits to third-party vendors to inspect goods, verify adherence to company standards, and review quality. Serve as the direct point of contact for vendors regarding shipment status, delays, and service issues, maintaining constructive and professional relationships.
Warehouse and Port Agent Collaboration : Work closely with third-party warehouse providers and port agents to coordinate inventory management, timely delivery of goods, and compliance with port regulations. Ensure that warehouse staff and port agents are fully briefed on vessel requirements and shipping timelines.
Operational Escalation : Identify and promptly escalate any logistical, shipment, or quality issues to the Manager, Hotel Port Operations and the DCL Logistics managers. Provide concise and accurate reports detailing the nature of the issue and any corrective actions taken.
Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of shipments, vendor visits, quality reviews, inventory movements, and any issues encountered. Ensure that all documentation meets compliance standards and company policies.
