Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the timely and compliant execution of procurement activities for offshore oil and gas projects. This role involves coordinating with vendors, internal departments, and third-party institutions to manage procurement packages, resolve import / export issues, and maintain progress in line with project schedules.

Procurement Management

  • Organize procurement processes for offshore platform and FPSO projects, including RFQs, bid evaluations, PO issuance, and contract management.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Manage procurement of long-lead items and critical packages such as topside modules, subsea equipment, E&I systems, and rotating machinery.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors and subcontractors with proven offshore and FPSO experience.
  • Conduct pre-award meetings, technical and commercial clarifications, and post-award kick-off sessions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure performance, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Commercial Negotiations

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial aspects with vendors.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with Company’s interests and mitigates risks.
  • Procurement Reporting

  • Maintain and update procurement status reports to reflect real-time progress.
  • Cross-Functional Communication

  • Liaise with Design, QHSE, and TPC institutions to ensure smooth PO execution.
  • Resolve technical and compliance issues collaboratively.
  • Import / Export Support

  • Coordinate with logistics and customs to resolve issues related to material import / export.
  • Ensure timely delivery and clearance of goods.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement
  • Oil & Gas sector experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working for Oil & Gas EPC’s
  • Experience working on at least 3 large-scale offshore or FPSO projects
  • Familiar with Middle East projects is required
  • Must be willing to travel overseas for extended periods.
