Roles & Responsibilities

1. Planning

Use blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions to determine the quantity, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods

2. Preparing

Cut, bend and prepare rebar and mesh for installation using tools like metal shears, hacksaws, and torches

3. Installing

Position and secure reinforcing rods, cables, mesh, or rebar in concrete forms using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools

4. Hoisting

Organize the hoisting of components by connecting cables and slings to the components and directing crane operators

5. Stressing

After placing post-tensioning systems, stress the tendons to predetermined specifications using hydraulic jacks and pumps

6. Ensuring quality

Ensure the quality of the work performed and that the building has the proper reinforcement

7. Meeting standards

Meet Singapore construction standards and regulations

8. Leadership

Train and lead foreign workers to complete daily tasks together, reasonably arrange the division of labor and assistance of team members, and participate in progress management.
