Roles & Responsibilities

Permanent role

Location : Pandan Loop (warehouse)

Salary : 2500-3200

We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to support the implementation of the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment / services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas. He / She will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team in carrying out the following work and responsibilities :

Support with implementation / assembly / design / testing with system or / and project Engineers.
Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite.
Assist and / or carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client.
Contribute necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures.
Work with the team to investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any, in order for the equipment to work to its specifications
Help out in the timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company / client format for submission and reporting.
Work with the Service Department to resolve enquiries, if required.
Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Other Requirements

Able to work under tight schedule and minimum supervision.

Able to travel in short notice.

Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays.

Good verbal communication skill.

Ensure a safe working environment.

Experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred. Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience.

Fresh candidates are also welcome as there will be onboard mentorship and On-Job-Trainings (OJT).

Desirable overtime allowance after probation period.
