Job descriptionProvide 2nd level network support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance to established Service Level Agreement (SLA) Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose & implement measures to prevent recurrence Schedule and release network system changes to production environment in accordance to the change management process / procedures Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all IT infrastructure components used in the production environment Perform infrastructure system and network capacity monitoring and planning Monitor and perform performance tuning to optimize network performance Devise and implement the underlying processes supporting IT service management, in conformance to corporate security policies and guidelines Provide infrastructure (system & network) support to projects in accordance to the project timeline Manages infrastructure enhancement / upgrade projects in accordance to established project management guidelines Develop and maintain technical and process documents to upkeep IT infrastructure Degree in Information Technology and related discipline Preferably, attained CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCSA, CCSE At least 3 years hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, VPN, DNS Good to have experience / industry certification for firewall and public cloud administration Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint. Good written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as in a team Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving abilities Possess customer-oriented mindset Possess a sense of initiative Able to multi-task Familiar with data center operations
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration
- Perform system and network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of network & security equipment (eg. routers, firewalls, cryptography equipment), telecommunication links and Sun Solaris servers and Windows-based servers
- Configure firewall rules and monitor the intrusion detection systems
- Perform system and network upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components
- Implement network, operating system and product-specific security hardening & patches
- Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems)
- Monitor expiry and perform renewal of network system password and certificates
- Implement a schedule of system and network backups operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and conduct regular disaster recovery testing and component switchover exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment
