Key Responsibilities
Network Administration
- Perform system and network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of network & security equipment (eg. routers, firewalls, cryptography equipment), telecommunication links and Sun Solaris servers and Windows-based servers
- Configure firewall rules and monitor the intrusion detection systems
- Perform system and network upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components
- Implement network, operating system and product-specific security hardening & patches
- Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems)
- Monitor expiry and perform renewal of network system password and certificates
- Implement a schedule of system and network backups operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and conduct regular disaster recovery testing and component switchover exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment
Incident & Problem Management
Provide 2nd level network support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance to established Service Level Agreement (SLA)Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose & implement measures to prevent recurrenceChange & Release Management
Schedule and release network system changes to production environment in accordance to the change management process / proceduresConfiguration Management
Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all IT infrastructure components used in the production environmentCapacity & Performance Management
Perform infrastructure system and network capacity monitoring and planningMonitor and perform performance tuning to optimize network performanceProcess Management
Devise and implement the underlying processes supporting IT service management, in conformance to corporate security policies and guidelinesProject Management & Support
Provide infrastructure (system & network) support to projects in accordance to the project timelineManages infrastructure enhancement / upgrade projects in accordance to established project management guidelinesDocumentation
Develop and maintain technical and process documents to upkeep IT infrastructureRequirements
Qualification
Degree in Information Technology and related disciplinePreferably, attained CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCSA, CCSEExperience and Technical Skills Set
At least 3 years hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, VPN, DNSGood to have experience / industry certification for firewall and public cloud administrationProficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.Other Criteria
