What the role is]

This role focuses on landscape analysis, strategic partnerships, and policy formulation to enhance sustainable philanthropy through development of strategic initiatives.

1. Drive the development and implementation of evidence-based philanthropic policies and strategies to strengthen Singapore's giving ecosystem.

2. Develop, evaluate and execute strategies and strategic partnerships to strengthen the ecosystem for sustainable resourcing and giving

3. Support the formulation and execution of philanthropic-related policies that promote sustainable giving

What you will be working on]

Strategic planning and research

  • Undertake environmental scanning and sectoral research to identify emerging trends and build competitive value propositions for Community Chest
  • Develop data-driven, competitive value propositions that strengthen Community Chest's market position
  • Formulate strategy and strategic initiatives to address structural issues in the sector / landscape

Partnership and Policy development

  • Develop comprehensive business analysis that transfroms challenges into opportunites for growth
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships to advance philanthropy efforts in Singapore
  • Draft policy papers on philanthropy-related issues
  • Create strategic messaging to position Community Chest as the choice philanthropic partner for the social service sector
  • Lead projects and assignments as and when needed

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to details
  • Results-driven self-starter with proven ability to identify opportunities and drive projects to completion
  • Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of social service / fundraising landscape will be an added advantage
  • Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in  strategic planning or policy development
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Public sector experience will be an added advantage
