Job Description of Safety Coordinator
- Assist Project Manager to ensure sub-contractors and workers comply with site safety and MOM safety and safe management measures requirements
- Conduct tools box meeting
- Conduct Site Safety Induction Course
- Attend safety meeting & conduct safety training
- Conduct site check to ensure site safety and safe management measures
- Conduct in-house Safe Work Procedures training to workers
- Rectify hazards & unsafe workplace practices at site
- Prepare Risk Assessment before any new task
- Conduct Risk Assessment Training for all workers
- Arrange for equipment inspection with main contractor
- Advice workers on safety compliance & procedures during work execution
- Investigate & prepare report on all workplace accidents
- Involve in safety audit
- Manage all Company's Certifications (ISO, BizSafe, etc.)
Job Requirements
NITEC / HI-NITEC Certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalentWSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and HealthAt least 2 years of working experience as a HSE CoordinatorUpdated with current legal requirement and standard practicesAble to display ability and skills as a HSE Coordinatoro Legal documents (PTWs, SWP and MOS)
o Completion of accident and incident report
o Able to complete risk assessment and application of hierarchy of control
o Able to tabulate inspection report(s)
Must possess the following certifications :o Work at Height for Assessor / Manager
o Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan
o Building Construction Supervisors Course
o Safe Management Officer
Patient & tactful in dealing with various nationality of workersSelf-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and urgencyAble to work independently and cope with pressureTell employers what skills you have
