Job descriptionMinimum Diploma in any discipline. 2–3 years of experience in oil cargo operations, preferably within a trading house or oil major. Proven ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate initiative, and maintain attention to detail in less structured environments. In-depth understanding of shipping and port operations. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the cargo operations process, ensuring efficient handling from loading to discharge.
- Coordinate vessel scheduling, port activities, and chartering to maintain smooth voyage execution.
- Supervise blending procedures and maintain strict product quality standards.
- Manage regulatory compliance throughout vessel operations and documentation.
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel (bunker) usage, and assess voyage profitability.
- Investigate cargo discrepancies, addressing quantity and quality variances.
- Calculate and process laytime, demurrage, and claims; prepare voyage profit and loss reports.
- Work closely with surveyors and inspectors to verify cargo volumes and maintain thorough reporting.
