Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a challenging offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution :
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of offshore substation topside construction activities.
- Develop and manage construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
- Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to address delays or issues.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) :
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all construction activities are conducted safely.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.Team Management :
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary construction team, including subcontractors and vendors.Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to team members.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Quality Assurance :
Ensure all construction activities meet the required quality standards and specifications.Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.Stakeholder Coordination :
Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress.Budget and Cost Control :
Monitor construction costs and ensure the project remains within budget.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.Logistics and Resource Management :
Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.Ensure efficient utilization of resources and equipment.Risk Management :
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Proactively address challenges to minimize impact on project delivery.Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management,Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of offshore construction techniques, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).Soft Skills :
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.Strong organizational and time management skills.Working Conditions :
