Sales Director – Solution Sales, Institutional Business

Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition & Business Development

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding External Asset Managers (EAMs) across Asia.
  • Build and scale strategic partnerships to establish strong distribution channels and revenue pipelines.

2. Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary relationship lead for institutional clients, delivering a high-touch client experience to differentiate against competitors.
  • Strengthen client engagement through regular portfolio reviews, strategic insights, and tailored investment ideas.

3. Product & Solution Advisory

  • Partner with product, operations, and technology teams to deliver customized solutions across trading, custody, and investments.
  • Promote and expand adoption of the platform’s offerings, including Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, Structured Products, FX, Actively Managed Certificates and Digital Assets.

4. Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track industry trends, client needs, regulatory developments, and competitor positioning across the EAM landscape.
  • Recommend enhancements to platform capabilities, service models, and client tools to maintain a competitive edge.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across onboarding, compliance, and operations to ensure seamless client experiences.
  • Provide strategic feedback to internal stakeholders to influence product roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional sales or business development within a brokerage, private bank, fund platform, or fintech environment.
  • Existing MAS representative license preferred.
  • Strong network and proven track record working with External Asset Managers (EAMs) in Singapore and across Asia.
  • Deep understanding of institutional trading, investment products, custody frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS licensing, AML/KYC).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset with the ability to operate independently and scale business growth.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth fintech or brokerage is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, where required.
