Director Bio Energy

As the Team Lead for Bio-Energy, the candidate will be

responsible to lead and grow Surbana Jurong's Bio-Energy line of

business. Bio-Energy business includes renewable energy generation

and renewable fuels such as Biogas, Biomethane, Biomass, Biofuels,

Refuse-Derived Fuels, Waste-to-Energy. Candidate will undertake and

lead in the business development, soliciting business and is also

expected to lead the team in managing and delivering Bio-Energy

projects and tasks. The candidate will be involved in various

project stages which include feasibility studies, conceptual, basic

engineering design and detailed design, energy yield calculation,

technical due diligence studies, site and technology assessment,

technical consultation etc.

Key

Responsibilities : Lead

and grow Surbana Jurong's Bio-Energy line of business.

• Soliciting business and securing new projects

Cultivate and maintain strong client

relationships

Overall management of the

Bio-Energy related projects, ensuring timely, technical and

budget-compliant completion

Lead and

collaborate with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to

optimize solutions and address technical challenges.

Act as the primary point of contact with clients and

stakeholders, addressing and resolving issues, and managing

expectations.

To lead and manage engineering

team and engineers assigned, adhering to quality standards, codes

and project requirements.

Lead in the design

preparation such as Plot plan, boiler island, TG Hall Equipment

Layouts, Floor Opening & I.P Details and identification of

other packages

Lead in the Coordination and

engagements with vendors and OEMs to specify technical

specifications and data sheets

Lead in the

preparation of Design basis report for all the mechanical equipment

and design calculations, as and when required

Provide technical expertise in designs, ensuring

adherence to industry standards, codes and regulations.

Lead in the Preparation / Review / Check Technical

specifications and Package P&IDs

Prepare

and review / check of the design Interfaces with other disciplines

and Packages.

Develop and maintain engineering

standards, specifications, and best practices for the

designs.

Review of vendor offers, preparation

of technical evaluation report, technical portion of the purchase

order.

Review and Input drawing / document list

for package, design review and validation records, Bill of

quantities, Vendor drawing review, review of QAP as and when

required.

Provide technical support and

guidance to engineering and project team

Project Closure Check List & Project Schedule

Variance Report after completing all Engineering and Project

Deliverables.

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related

field

Professional Engineer (PE) license or

equivalent certification is advantageous.

Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in design and

project management of biomass / WtE / RDF / biofuels projects

Track record of leading, developing and growing business

line, and soliciting business

Experience in

the design of engineering systems and equipment including boilers,

turbines, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers will be

advantageous

Track record of successfully

delivering Biomass / WtE / Biofuel / RDF projects on time and

within budget

Proficiency in engineering

software tools such as SteamPro or similar simulation tools will be

advantageous

Strong knowledge of

Biomass / WtE / Biofuel / RDF design principles, process and operation

philosophy

Well-verse with industry standards

and best practices for design, maintenance, and

reliability.

Excellent problem-solving skills

and ability to work effectively in cross-functional

teams.

Effective communication and

interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a

multidisciplinary team environment and with the Clients and

Stakeholders
