Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director to oversee the overall operations and business development of our trading company based in Singapore. The Director will play a pivotal role in formulating strategies, expanding the company’s trading portfolio, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic trading plans in line with business objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive expansion into new markets.
• Manage and monitor trading activities, contracts, procurement, and logistics operations.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers, customers, and business partners to secure favourable terms.
• Ensure full compliance with Singapore trade regulations, international trade laws, and internal company policies.
• Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
• Build, lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
• Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including banks, shipping companies and regulatory authorities.
