About the
role
This is an exciting
opportunity for an ambitious and talented Junior Sous Chef to join
the team at The Bakery Depot Pte Ltd. As a Junior Sous Chef (Cakes
& Pastries), you will play a key role in the operations of our
renowned bakery, focusing on the production of high-quality cakes,
pastries and other baked goods. This full-time position is based in
our Kaki Bukit East Region
location.
What you'll be
doing
Assisting the
Head Chef in leading and managing the cake and pastry kitchen
team
Developing and refining recipes for a
variety of cakes, pastries and other baked items
Overseeing the daily production and preparation of all
cake and pastry items
Ensuring the highest
standards of food quality, presentation and customer
satisfaction
Maintaining a clean, organised
and efficient work environment
Providing
training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
Collaborating with the wider team to support the overall
success of the
bakery
What we're
looking for
Formal
culinary training and a recognised chef's qualification
Excellent technical skills in cake and pastry production,
including piping, decorating and plating
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene
regulations
A creative and innovative approach
to recipe development and menu planning
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to
delivering the highest standards
Excellent
communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate
and train a team
A passion for the culinary
arts and a desire to contribute to the growth of our
bakery
