Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Manager with experience in welding equipment and consumables sales. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of welding processes, strong sales acumen, and the ability to provide expert advice to clients across industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, oil & gas, and construction.
This role combines technical knowledge with relationship-driven sales, requiring both strategic planning and hands-on customer engagement to drive growth within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth by identifying and acquiring new customers while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
- Promote welding equipment, consumables, and related accessories to industrial and commercial clients.
Customer & Account Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients including engineers, procurement officers, and welders.Understand customer needs, recommend suitable products, and provide value-added solutions.Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive service and support.Technical & Product Support
Provide technical advice on product selection, usage, and application for optimal welding performance.Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and troubleshooting support as needed.Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.Prepare reports on market conditions, sales performance, and customer feedback.Collaboration & Promotion
Work closely with internal departments (marketing, operations, and technical teams) to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless customer service.Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events to enhance brand visibility.Administrative & Reporting Duties
Maintain accurate and updated sales records, including CRM entries, quotations, and pipeline reports.Prepare regular updates on sales progress, forecasts, and key account developments.Skills & Qualifications
Essential :
Proven experience in sales of welding equipment, consumables, or related industrial products .Strong technical understanding of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, FCAW, etc.) and associated products.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.Preferred :
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Technology, or Business Administration .Familiarity with industries such as fabrication, oil & gas, marine, or heavy manufacturing.Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Industry certification such as Certified Welding Sales Representative (CWSR) from AWS is an advantage.Tell employers what skills you have
