About the Opportunity :

Our client is a high-growth, purpose-driven startup poised for international scale. At this pivotal inflection point, they are seeking a Board-level Advisor with global leadership experience in FMCG to provide strategic counsel and drive commercial acceleration. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a global brand’s next phase of growth by guiding leadership on market expansion, strategic partnerships, and commercial excellence.

Location : Singapore

Engagement : Fractional or Full-Time Advisory Role (based on mutual interest)

Role Overview :

As a Strategic Board Advisor, you will work directly with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team to refine and elevate organization's commercial roadmap. Your role will be instrumental in strengthening go-to-market capabilities, unlocking growth through cross-border alliances, and mentoring leadership teams through scale-up challenges.

Key Areas of Contribution :

  • Advise on global sales, marketing, and partnership strategy, including digital, B2B expansion.
  • Guide the international growth blueprint, including market prioritization, pricing strategy, and channel mix.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and category visibility in key geographies.
  • Share best practices and playbooks from leading FMCG environments.
  • Support board-level discussions on growth, performance metrics, and scale readiness.
  • Leverage your global network to identify partnership / collaboration opportunities.
  • Coach internal teams on execution excellence and market responsiveness.

Ideal Profile

  • 25+ years of senior leadership experience in FMCG (Sales, Marketing, Strategy, or Partnerships).
  • Board or advisory experience in high-growth or emerging market environments.
  • Strong global exposure, particularly across the US, Europe, Asia, or the Middle East.
  • Commercially strategic, yet hands-on and collaborative in guiding execution.
  • Deep networks and insights into retail ecosystems and consumer behaviour.
  • Experience navigating the cultural, regulatory, and operational nuances of multiple geographies.
  • Preferred Background :

    Candidates who have lived and worked in global commercial hubs (e.g., Singapore, London, New York, Dubai) and have operated across mature and emerging markets will be highly regarded.
