Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Freight Operations Oversight

Manage the full spectrum of freight forwarding activities, including imports, exports, and transshipments
Oversee shipment tracking to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any arising issues
Ensure all operations comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead and support a team of Customer Focus Executives and Operations Executives, providing coaching and performance oversight

Promote coordination across departments such as sales, finance, and warehousing

Evaluate operational effectiveness and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies

Client & Vendor Engagement

Act as the key liaison for customer communications, addressing concerns and service issues

Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics providers

Negotiate competitive freight rates and vendor agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness

Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure shipping documents—including invoices, airway bills, bills of lading, and customs declarations—are accurate and complete

Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting freight operations and make necessary adjustments

Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines

Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

Analyze and improve workflows for better efficiency and cost reduction

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide continuous improvement

Apply best practices in warehouse coordination, route optimization, and shipment consolidation
