Roles & Responsibilities

The job holder will lead initiatives related to Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience , ensuring the organization is well-prepared to respond to disruptions and maintain critical operations.

This role covers the APAC , with the Singapore office serving as the regional hub for BCM / BCP activities. The job holder will also be expected to liaise regularly with the Tokyo Head Office , ensuring alignment with global standards and policies.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience strategies
Design and define BCM goals, objectives, and scope aligned with business plans and crisis management frameworks
Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive crisis and business continuity plans across relevant entities
Act as a key coordinator during incidents, leading cross-functional response efforts involving Security, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Operations, and IT teams
Promote the digitalization of BCM management, including the adoption of tools and platforms to enhance monitoring, reporting, and automation of continuity planning
Collaborate with various departments to identify resilience gaps, set Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), and communicate business expectations
Recommend and implement adaptable maintenance strategies that align with the bank’s growth, changes, and resource capabilities
Oversee BCM / BCP activities across the APAC region, with Singapore serving as the regional hub, and liaise with Tokyo Head Office as needed

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

At least 10 to 13 years of proven experience in managing business continuity and / or Operational Resilience within a large organization

Demonstrated team leadership experience

Hands-on experience in implementing BCP in accordance with MAS or other regulatory guidelines

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to lead effectively during crisis situations

Knowledge of Third Party Risk Management and IT / Cyber Security is a strong advantage
