Overview
The Assistant Engineer supports the upkeep of the hotel’s infrastructure and systems—covering electrical, plumbing, fire, HVAC, and kitchen equipment. The role ensures smooth daily operations, safe environments, and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for building systems and kitchen equipment.
- Troubleshoot faults quickly to minimize downtime in guest and back-of-house areas.
- Support small-scale projects, including renovation or upgrade works, and liaise with contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and hotel policies.
- Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns or emergencies, even outside regular hours if required.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Guide junior team members and assist with training when needed.
Requirements
NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field (preferred).3–5 years of relevant maintenance / engineering experience in hospitality industry.Strong technical and problem-solving skills; hands-on with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment.Knowledge of safety regulations and WSH practices.Good communication, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.Candidate with hotel experienced will be highly preferred.We regret that only shortlisted candidate will be notified.
