Senior Compliance Specialist, APAC

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented individual with 5–7 years of trade compliance experience in the US and APAC markets, ideally in the electronic components industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the regional export compliance operation, including export case due diligence, denied parties screening, licensing determination, submitting license applications, proper product classification, and documentation.
• Understand and apply the Taric System, ECCN codes, Dual Use classification, licensing requirements, and licensing applications.
• Interface daily with administration and the Sales organization to ensure smooth communication and order flow.
• Work with parts manufacturers and distributors to maintain proper classification.
• Collaborate with development to build export compliance controls into systems.
• Support training on export compliance matters, including managing annual training and attending off‑site courses leading to certification.
• Continuously review changes to export compliance laws and regulations, communicate updates to management, and ensure the compliance program adapts accordingly.
• Conduct site visits or customer interviews to ensure proper screening is carried out.
• Support training and audit activities as required.
• Run compliance enhancement projects, such as automating the screening process.
• Analyze regulatory landscape changes in APAC, including PRC, and conduct impact assessments.
