The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university and fulfills our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Through SCALE, working adults (professionals, managers, and executives) seeking to stay relevant, companies aiming to upskill / re-skill their workforce, and youths exploring tertiary education options, have access to NUS’ innovative, world-class continuing and lifelong education programs.

Drawing on expertise from 16 NUS faculties and schools, SCALE offers youth, executive, and professional development programs, part-time and full-time degrees, and modular courses that can be taken singly or stacked towards certificates, diplomas, or degrees, all designed in consultation with industry to ensure relevance.

About the Role

We seek a qualified candidate to join SCALE LET as Associate Director / Senior Manager, Quality Management (CET). Reporting to the Assistant Dean, the incumbent will lead the development and implementation of quality assurance frameworks for CET programs at NUS, ensuring pedagogical soundness, compliance with SkillsFuture Singapore, and alignment with national skills demands. The role involves collaboration across faculties, CET units, and external agencies to elevate CET curriculum, teaching, and learning standards, supporting innovation and customization for diverse industry needs.

This is a 3-year renewable contract position, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.

Remuneration follows a 12-month salary structure with an annual variable bonus based on performance, and the appointment grade will reflect individual merits.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Provide strategic leadership in CET course compliance and quality management across faculties and CET units.
  • Oversee design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the CET Quality Framework.
  • Conduct process reviews and audits to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure customized programs for industry partners meet quality standards and relevance.
  • Lead and mentor a team, setting objectives and guiding performance.
  • Prepare for external reviews and inspections.
  • Serve as the primary contact for CET quality assurance and compliance matters.
  • Align offerings with internal standards, workforce needs, and SkillsFuture priorities.
  • Collaborate with data teams to generate analytics reports on program quality, satisfaction, funding, and operations.
  • Coordinate funding for course launches.
  • Manage review and approval of CET course submissions for SSG.
  • Map CET programs to skills demand and identify quality gaps.
  • Support governance and design of funded and unfunded CET programs.
  • Use data insights for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain quality assurance resources and conduct training sessions.

Requirements :

Academic & Professional Certification

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in education, social science, or HR from a reputable university.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • DipEd, PGCE, HR(L&D), ACLP, ACTA, or DDDLP qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience & Attributes :

  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 in education, quality management, or L&D.
  • Energetic leader with experience managing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Classroom experience in IHLs or adult learning is advantageous.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical, critical thinker, problem solver.
