Job Description
The successful candidate will perform a variety of functions related to research, including but not limited to the following : -
- Lead and direct a team of researchers to conduct high quality scientific research.
- Plan, conduct and disseminate research findings through journal articles.
- Write and review research papers, present research outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field attracting research funding.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative research techniques which include accurate in-depth assessment, interpretation and evaluation of research outcomes.
- Contribute to teaching and mentoring of medical students and research PhD students where applicable.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
Job Requirements
PhD with at least 10 years of relevant experience as an accomplished researcher.Demonstrate excellence in research, with indications of sustainability over the long term, and consistent record of service with evidence of leadership.Achieve research accomplishment as evidenced by body of work established, quality and productivity, research impact, independence and leadership, as well as record of securing independent research funding.Capable in driving research initiatives and contributing to creative professional activities with evidence of leadership to the university and international community.Proven ability to work harmoniously in a team and to establish and maintain effective professional peer working relationships.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
