Location : Raffles Place (Near MRT)
Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM
Fixed Salary Range : $5,000 - $8,000
Travel Requirement : Approx. 30% across Southeast Asia

A leading Japanese multi-national steel trading company is seeking a proactive and technically adept Sales Manager to drive regional business development across Southeast Asia. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with deep exposure to carbon steel pipe products, project-based sales, and industrial sectors such as oil & gas, shipbuilding, construction, and water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for seamless and welded steel pipes (API 5L, ASTM grades)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted sectors
- Deliver technical sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to inquiries, quotations, and order confirmations
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications independently
- Advise clients on product suitability, coating / lining options, and compliance with international standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO)
- Collaborate with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and technical documentation
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
- Identify market gaps and propose new sales initiatives
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, quality) to ensure timely delivery and resolve project-related issues
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field5–10 years of experience in industrial product sales, preferably steel pipes or related commoditiesFamiliarity with international standards such as API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53 is an advantageStrong negotiation, presentation, and communication skillsProficient in MS Office; CRM experience is a plusWilling and able to travel for business across Southeast AsiaExperience in pipeline stockists, offshore construction, or structural steel trading is preferredInterested applicants, please email your resume to lilian@juhlerprofessionals.com.sg
