Roles & Responsibilities
Shipping Operations
- Oversee daily operational activities, including coordination with terminals and counterparties for pre-fixture clearance.
- Prepare and issue voyage instructions as well as loading and discharging guidelines.
- Monitor vessel positions, track performance, and update systems to ensure accurate P&L reporting.
- Maintain communication with masters, agents, and terminal representatives.
- Supervise cargo operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and operational requirements.
- Address and resolve day-to-day operational queries.
- Manage bunkering activities, including arranging fuel supplies, monitoring consumption, and keeping track of market bunker prices.
Invoicing
Generate invoices for freight, shipping costs, and re-charge items.Review and verify incoming invoices, including freight, AWRP, and other operational costs.Process payable invoices related to service providers such as hire, port charges, and bunkering.Demurrage / Claims
Prepare, calculate, negotiate, and finalize demurrage and related claims.Qualifications
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in shipping operations, with specialization in clean tanker management.Solid background in shipping operations with knowledge of regional trade routes, vessels, ports, and regulatory requirements.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Prior experience using Veson systems will be an advantage.Proficiency in spoken communication is essential.Tell employers what skills you have
