What the role is
The Senior Manager for Marketing & Communications continually ensures the provision of cohesive communication to all WGS target demographics, positioning WGS as a one‑stop agency to serve all the needs of residents. The Senior Manager ensures residents are consistently engaged and are aware of the suite of services and facilities available when they visit, so as to maximise visitors and usage of these services and facilities. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for all promotional partnerships in maximising benefits available for all target demographics, including all above and below‑the‑line communication collateral, channels and platforms to maximise reach to all residents.
What you will be working on
- Work with the General Manager on charting the Annual Communications and Marketing Work Plan, including proposed budget forecasts.
- Work with retail asset management to source opportunities to conceptualise and execute joint partnerships with tenants operating in WGS.
- Multitask to optimise use of resources and enhance partnerships at WGS.
- Plan possible loyalty programmes to ensure top‑of‑mind recall, retain loyalty and promote repeat visitors.
- Source possible merchants to add further value to loyalty programmes residents can take advantage of.
- Plan on‑site events that may or may not include external partners to assist in promoting tenants’ services and facilities.
- Generate and disseminate above‑and below‑the‑line communication collateral to promote WGS as a choice destination and establish WGS’s position as an integrated cultural and heritage hub.
- Initiate and build new working relationships and partnerships to leverage external resources and achieve greater cost savings for WGS.
- Manage and supervise social media contents and ensure sustainability.
Partnerships
Source possible merchants of WGS and neighbouring partners such as Geylang Serai Market, Joo Chiat Complex, Tristar Building to add further value to loyalty programmes.Work with retail asset management to source opportunities for joint partnerships with tenants.Plan possible loyalty programmes to ensure top‑of‑mind recall and retain loyalty.Generate and disseminate communication collateral to promote WGS and establish its position as a cultural and heritage hub.Public queries
Handle public feedback and queries regarding events and booking of facilities.IPOG Staff duties
Implement meaningful and innovative national and community programmes, scheduled to cover weekday night programmes and weekend programmes.Manage and execute national programmes for WGS that require multiple meetings, rehearsals and planning (e.g., Annual Bazaar, Monthly Cultural Events, Bulan Bahasa).Strong partnerships and network building
Appointed as secretariat to various committees such as Programme Advisory Committee, Precinct Development Inter‑Agency Committee, WGS Social Network Committee, Facilities Management Committee, Integrated Programming Committee, Kurnia Operations Committee and M3.Attend monthly CCC and CCMC meetings in the evenings.Participate in multiple ad‑hoc after‑office‑hours engagements with MMOs, VWOs and other NGOs.Facilities and everyday operations
Perform random surprise checks on facilities, security, cleaning and tenants at odd hours.Assist in day‑to‑day operations of Malay Muslim Organisations (MMO) office, managing Kurnia (MMO Hub) as needed beyond office hours.What we are looking for
Minimum 3 years in a middle‑management position.Additional 2 years of relevant marketing and membership experience in the private sector.Seniority level
