Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
- Assist in overseeing all warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to fulfill ship chandling and food supply orders efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure proper storage of perishable goods in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with regular inventory audits and stocktaking.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff; enforce safety protocols and workplace discipline.
- Operate and oversee usage of warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for shipments, inventory, and warehouse transactions.
- Assist in improving warehouse workflows, layout, and operational efficiency.
- Support timely deliveries to port vessels or other clients, ensuring compliance with customs and port authority requirements.
Skill Requirements :
Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or any degree .Minimum 3 years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in ship chandling or food distribution.Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is a strong advantage.Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control systems.Understanding of food handling / storage standards and maritime supply logistics.Strong organizational and leadership skills.Basic computer proficiency (e.g. MS Excel, WMS or ERP systems).Ability to manage time effectively and handle pressure during peak operations.Good communication skills to liaise with internal departments and port stakeholders.Tell employers what skills you have
