Roles & Responsibilities

The Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing gold plating operations within the manufacturing plant, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with industry standards. The role also includes conducting quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC) activities to maintain consistent product standards.

Key Responsibilities

Process Management

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize gold plating processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plating process issues to minimize downtime and defects.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce cost, and improve cycle time.
  • Maintain proper documentation of plating processes, parameters, and changes.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA / QC)

  • Conduct inspection and testing of plated products to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
  • Establish and maintain QA / QC protocols, checklists, and records.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations.
  • Work with production and R&D teams to ensure plating thickness, adhesion, and finish meet required standards.

    • Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all plating processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor chemical usage, disposal, and handling in accordance with regulatory requirements.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators on plating and QA / QC procedures.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in electroplating, surface finishing, or semiconductor / metal finishing industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of plating chemistry, electrochemical processes, and production workflows.
  • Experience in QA / QC methods, inspection tools, and statistical process control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
