Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Audit Senior to join our audit team. The Audit Senior will be responsible for leading and managing audits, working closely with clients, and ensuring financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with audit procedures, client management, and team leadership, and possess strong technical knowledge of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and execute audits : Manage and execute audit engagements from planning to completion for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met and audits are conducted in accordance with auditing standards.
- Client interaction : Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the audit process, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Supervise audit staff : Mentor and supervise junior auditors and trainees, reviewing their work and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Technical expertise : Apply detailed knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards to review and analyze financial statements, internal controls, and audit workpapers.
- Audit planning : Assist in audit planning, including risk assessments, audit strategy development, and preparing engagement letters.
- Prepare reports : Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports, and other deliverables for accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Identify areas for improvement : Provide recommendations for improving internal controls, operational processes, and financial reporting to clients.
- Develop client relationships : Help to identify opportunities for additional services and maintain a positive, professional relationship with clients.
- Stay current with regulations : Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certifications : CPA or equivalent professional certification (or in progress).Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of audit experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead audits and manage client relationships.Technical Skills : Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards. Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present audit findings to both clients and senior management.Leadership : Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members.Attention to Detail : Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Tell employers what skills you have
