Job Summary

The Macro Research (Desk Analyst) team is looking to hire a Macro Strategist based in Singapore as part of the wider team across the Singapore and Hong Kong offices. Being a dual-hat role across Mizuho Securities and Mizuho Bank, this role provides an opportunity to engage a wide range of corporate and institutional clients with interests across the asset markets.

The primary remit of the role is to publish timely, topflight macro analysis and policy insights distilled into FX and rates views and clearly communicate these views for clients – both internal and external. The team works closely with the various Sales and Front office functions as well as the various Trading Desks. Given Mizuho’s presence across the region, client engagement will involve travel.

You will :

• Assume country coverage for fundamental macro-economic, policy, FX and interest rate analyses for Asia ex-Japan economies
• Publish high-quality, timely research on macroeconomic, interest rate and FX markets and clearly communicate such insights / ideas to customers (internal and external).
• Help to expand the breadth and depth of the research produced
• Support in data / research management and administrative duties as required
