Position Overview : The Business Development Executive / Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and securing new cleaning service contracts for the company. This role focuses on expanding the company's client base through proactive sales efforts and building relationships with potential customers. The Manager role would also focuses on securing contracts, managing client portfolios, and providing leadership to the business development team.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Sales Development
- Identify and approach potential clients within assigned territories or market segments
- Conduct cold calls and follow up on leads to secure appointments
- Prepare and present comprehensive service proposals and quotations
- Respond to tenders and requests for quotations within required timeframes
- Negotiate contract terms within company guidelines
2. Client Relationship Management
Conduct site surveys to assess client requirementsBuild and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clientsAddress client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionallyCollaborate with operations team to ensure smooth service deliveryCollect client feedback and communicate to relevant departmentsMay require occasional evening or weekend work for client meetings3. Market Research & Analysis
Monitor market trends and competitor activitiesIdentify new market opportunities and potential service offeringsGather intelligence on pricing trends and customer preferencesContribute to the development of sales strategies and approaches4. Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records in the company’s systemPrepare weekly and monthly sales activity reportsDocument client requirements and contract specificationsManage sales-related documentation and filing systemsTrack and report on sales pipeline and conversion rates5. Professional Development
Stay updated on industry developments and cleaning technologiesParticipate in sales training and professional development activitiesContribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing6. Key Account Management (Manager role)
Personally manage relationships with major clients and key accountsDevelop account growth strategies for existing clientsOversee contract negotiations for agreementsResolve complex client issues and ensure service excellenceCoordinate cross-departmental efforts for key accounts7. Strategic Planning & Reporting (Manager role)
Contribute to the company's strategic planning processProvide regular reports to senior management on sales performanceAnalyse competitive landscape and provide strategic insightsCollaborate with operations and finance on service delivery planningRepresent the company at industry events and networking forums8. Team Leadership (If applicable)
Lead, coach, and mentor business development executivesSet and monitor individual and team performance targetsConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedbackImplement effective sales processes and methodologiesFacilitate regular team meetings and training sessionsQualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications :
Diploma or higher in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field1-3 years of experience in sales or business development roles5+ years of experience in sales or business development roles for Managerial role, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or team leader capacityStrong understanding of contract terms and negotiation principlesProficient in Microsoft Office suiteFluent in EnglishValid driving license will be preferredPreferred Experience :
Previous experience in B2B salesFamiliarity with the cleaning industry, facility management or hospitality industryExperience with quotation preparation, submission and pitchingTrack record of achieving sales targetsKey Competencies :
