Job description3–6 years of experience in Nostro or cash reconciliation within financial services. Hands-on experience with reconciliation tools (SmartStream, Duco, Intellimatch, or similar platforms). Strong understanding of Nostro accounts, settlements, and cash management workflows. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify patterns and root causes. Good communication skills to interact with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Technology. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines. Familiarity with industry regulations and controls (e.g., SOX, Basel, local regulatory standards) is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
- Perform and oversee daily Nostro reconciliations, ensuring breaks are identified, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor exception workflows and escalate aged breaks to relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with Operations, Treasury, Product Control, IT, and external counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze root causes of reconciliation breaks and implement preventive measures to improve control effectiveness.
- Ensure reconciliations meet internal policy, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Contribute to automation and process optimization, leveraging reconciliation platforms (SmartStream, Duco, or equivalent).
- Participate in system configuration, testing, and deployment of new reconciliation rules.
- Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and training guides for reconciliation processes.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to junior analysts or new joiners.
- Support transformation initiatives (e.g., system migrations, regulatory reporting, or process re-engineering).
