Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role

A globally respected pharmaceutical organization is seeking a skilled and resourceful Procurement Specialist to support site-level sourcing and purchasing operations. This role is key to ensuring procurement activities align with global strategies while maintaining compliance, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Contracting

Execute source-to-contract processes for goods and services across assigned categories
Support competitive bidding, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
Implement preferred supplier networks and drive spend toward strategic vendors

Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and deliver effective sourcing solutions

Maintain and optimize supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or service

Compliance & Systems

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Use procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) for requisitioning, approvals, and contract management

Support sustainability and supplier diversity goals in procurement activities

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to procurement data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives

Assist in tracking procurement metrics and identifying opportunities for cost savings

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field

2–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba

Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and risk management

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
