SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using C# (.NET) & Docker orchestration Architecture.
• Develop backend components that support mobile app features (authentication, notifications, analytics, etc.).
• Architect and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, and high-volume queries.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (ECS/Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, logging, and monitoring.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems (Global & China regions)
• Work closely with mobile developers, product managers, and QA to deliver features end-to-end (from development to release).
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices & documentation.
• Ensure system meet security standard, uptime via proactive monitoring & optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Maintain cost effectiveness per service/users.

Job Requirements:

• 4–7 years of experience in Backend Engineering.
• Strong proficiency & hand-on experience in C#, .NET Core, and REST API development.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/Fargate).
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, query optimization, indexing, and transactional design.
• Solid experience with AWS Cloud Services for backend workloads (ECS/Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, message queues, caching, and microservices.
• Experience in building systems that support mobile applications (rate limiting, auth, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, GitLab, etc.).
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system-level thinking.
• Proven experience designing backend systems for high traffic (100K+ DAUs or similar scale).

Good-to-have Skills:

• Proven leadership & stakeholder management skills to communicate with business owner.
• Experience in Retail / E-Commerce or Logistics is a strong plus.
• Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.
