Overview

The Regional Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and integrating all aspects of the supply chain across the assigned region—including procurement, warehouse operations, and supplier quality. This role manages day-to-day regional supply chain execution to support Service Parts, Repairs, and Field Service Operations, and collaborates with counterparts in other regions to optimize global supply. The role coordinates with each Business Unit to align production schedules, cost targets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong operational experience in a manufacturing and / or service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Execute regional sourcing strategies in alignment with GS global and EEE corporate objectives.
  • Coordinate with counterparts in other regions to align global sourcing strategies.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and performance management.
  • Manage risk across the supplier base, including capacity, financial stability, and geopolitical factors.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices, sustainability goals, and supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Support dual / multi-sourcing strategies to improve supply continuity and mitigate disruptions.
  • Contribute to business forecasting by providing accurate supplier delivery forecasts; supplier delivery schedules are a significant input to P&L forecasting.
  • Utilize data to achieve KPI targets (e.g., on-time delivery, supplier quality, cost reduction) to drive performance.

Warehouse & Logistics

  • Oversee inventory management, receiving, storage, and material delivery to production lines and sales order demand.
  • Identify best practices for lean warehousing and just-in-time (JIT) delivery within the region.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies across warehouse operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in space utilization, throughput, and labor efficiency.
  • Align with regional warehouses to execute standardized inventory control procedures and cycle count programs.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure parts availability and reduce order fulfillment lead times.
  • Manage tool containers and inventory for Field Service.
  • Manage regional shipping & logistics, focusing on speed and cost.
  • Utilize data to achieve KPI targets (e.g., inventory turns, order accuracy, warehouse productivity) to drive performance.
  • Supplier Quality

  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to develop supplier quality and capability.
  • Assist in development and release of component inspection plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier non-conformances.
  • Monitor and audit supplier quality performance; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Support new product launches with supplier readiness assessments.
  • Develop a regional supplier scorecard system to track quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
  • Leadership & Strategy

  • Manage and develop a cross-functional team across procurement, warehouse, and supplier quality.
  • Align regional operations with global supply chain goals and KPIs.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and performance metrics.
  • Foster continuous improvement efforts, including ERP and supply chain planning systems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for regional supply chain issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with repair shops, field service teams, and parts planners to forecast and plan inventory needs.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain procedures in the quality manual, ensuring team compliance.
  • Accountable for all activities related to purchasing and logistics for Parts, Service Centers, Field Service and Tool Containers, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers (FWA, LTSA, MA, etc.).
  • Assist Business Unit Managers to expand scope of supply via an enlarged supplier network.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing / OEM environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site or regional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and supplier quality systems.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
