Techno Functional Analyst (Cobol)

Key Responsibilities :

Functional Support :

o Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

o Analyze and design for new enhancements and / or existing functionalities.

o Data mining and testing to ensure new enhancements and / or existing functionalities to meet business needs.

o Work with project leads, users and developers to improve processes and functionality.

Technical Support :

o Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting after post-implementation.

o Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.

o Support client project leads and users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.

Problem Solving :

o Identify and fix technical issues related to Java / Cobol applications and SQL databases after post-implementation .

o Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.

Teamwork :

o Work closely with both technical teams and business project leads / users to ensure smooth communication.

o Contribute to system improvements and process automation.

Skills and Requirements :

Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming

Experience with SQL databases and query writing.

Good functional business analysis skills and attention to detail.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong and good communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams such as Client Project Leads and Users.

A team player who is eager to learn and grow.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

3-4 years of experience working with Java, Cobol and SQL.

3+ years of experience in Implementation (SDLC) and Change Request Related.

2+ years of experience in Operation / BAU Support.

Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
