Position Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and orderly presentation of rooms and public areas to create a positive impression for guests. He / she performs cleaning, replenishes amenities, and supplies as well as checks and reports items in need of maintenance or replacement. He / she updates room cleaning status, turns over any lost and found items and maintains the housekeeping cart and service pantry before and after each shift.
The Role
Housekeeping Operations
- Perform cleaning activities in rooms and public areas, such as bedmaking, dusting, vacuuming
- Replenish amenities and supplies in rooms and public areas
- Organise and restock housekeeping cart and service pantry
- Gather and remove soiled linen from the floors
- Collect and dispose rubbish from the floors
- Report any maintenance issues such as carpet cleaning requirements and pest infestations
- Update room status accurately and on a timely basis
- Report and turn over lost and found items
- Assists in the placement and removal of furniture and fittings from rooms, such as rollaway beds and baby cots
- Provide turndown service
- Top up minibar in all rooms if needed
