Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with users to gather, analyse, and define detailed system requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and technology partners to design and deliver integrated, end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
  • Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects, including servers, network systems, and physical security components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to servers, security systems, and network equipment to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, design specifications, and support procedures.
  • Work alongside project managers to ensure timely delivery of system milestones and adherence to project timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in project reviews and post-mortem analyses to identify lessons learned and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in a systems or infrastructure-related role.
  • Solid understanding of system infrastructure technologies and platforms such as VxRail, VMware, Active Directory, firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Checkpoint), and networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent).
  • Good to have : Experience or certification in Cyber Security, including : Privileged Access Management (PAM), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), WSUS / RHEL Patch Management, Centralized Logging Systems (e.g., SIEM)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database administration and support is an added advantage.
