Perm Assistant Executive / Executive (Marine Claims)

Responsibilities :

• Liaise with clients, intermediaries, surveyors / adjustors, handling agents, overseas Principals and TM Group of Companies.
• Manage correspondence and attend meetings with clients / intermediaries when required.
• Upon claims notification, gather relevant customers' details, arrange surveys and contact settling agents if needed.
• Create claim files / checklist and check policy / reinsurance / treaty arrangements before confirming underwriting accpetance with TM Group of Companies.
• Send Acknowledgment Letter and request necessary claims documents from clients / intermediaries.
• Prepare and dispatch PLA / Cash-Call Advice; follow up with reinsurers for payments.
• Draft LLA / MLR for approval and ensure reserves are timely and accurate.
• Maintain and review diary dates of 'live' files and ensure proper bring-up dates before archiving.
• Verify premium payment before processing claims and liaise with Finance on payment delays.
• Forward claims with strong recovery prospects to Claims Recovery Agents and actively follow up on recovery action.
• Update records for exceptional claims (e.g. ex-gratia payments, large losses) and related recoveries.
• Review and escalate claims exceeding authority to HOD / Senior Management for approval before notifying Customers, Settling Agents, etc.
• Review files regularly, compile monthly / quarterly statistics as needed
• Conduct UAT for Marine Claims module.
• Carry out duties assigned by management.
