PROJECT WORK
- Execute and co-ordinate all activities under the job holder’s responsibility
- Defining project scope, schedule and resources
- Establish discipline deliverables, interface definition and coordination
- Define and perform monitoring, control and reporting of progress
- Attend meetings and provide technical support
Perform Package Engineering , including :
Preparation of technical documentation (data sheets, requisitions, bid evaluation, technical reports, equipment criticality rating, etc.) towards procurement of mechanical equipment and packages from suppliers and vendorsReview of supplier engineering documentation while interfacing with other disciplines / departments to assure engineering integration of equipment / packages overseen by Job Holder in a timely mannerMinimize waivers, or mitigate impact from waivers on schedule and costConduct surveillance of vendor activities e.g., kick-off meetings, progress monitoring and expediting, equipment testing.Mechanical Completion : take part in site supervision of construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activitiesPreparation, modification and review of documents and / or drawings as per discipline deliverable listParticipate in studies and reviews where required as discipline lead or as mechanical package engineer e.g., HAZOP, Model Reviews.Encourage to and seek improvements to the project costs and schedule at all timesSupport the project organization in meeting project objectives quality / costs / schedule / safety) along with other team membersTravel overseas on short notice / perform overtime work as neededDISCIPLINE / POSITIONAL
Ensure compliance to QHSE requirements (maintain a positive and safe work environment), and support improvements in QHSEUnderstand and comply with internal control procedures, and support improvements in discipline work processes and proceduresSupervise and lead less experienced engineersWork experience requirements :
About 7~10years experience in Static Equipment / Packages in the oil, gas, or petrochemical (OGP) industry, preferably with bulk of that experience in the Offshore OGP sector.Has experience in pressure vessel detailed design , including mechanical design via spreadsheet or software such as PVElite, BJac, etc., and vessel fabrication drawing preparation; experience in Thermal Design (on HTRI or HTFS), with ability to dictate exchanger design to manufacturers, will be an advantageHas Package Engineering experience with typical offshore mechanical / multi-disciplinary packages such as separators, scrubbers, various types of heat exchangers, standard air compressor package, R.O. water makers, flare tips, pedestal cranes, chemical injection, hydrocyclone packages, TEG package, etc.Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage :Process design knowledge of static packages and their internals e.g., Separators, Scrubbers, Hydrocyclone packagesRelevant experience with a pressure vessel shop or company that supplies static equipment or skid package equipmentExperience working with broad range of regulatory standards e.g., NCS, UKCS, Australian, Brazilian.Very conversant with oil & gas industry standards such as API, ISO, NORSOK, etc.Qualifications :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentOther skills :
