Overview PM Group is currently looking to hire a Senior Automation & Instrumentation Engineer who will be responsible for the automation and instrumentation design, including conceptual, front end and detailed design activities for Pharmaceutical Projects. Responsibilities Your day-to-day role would involve the following : Inputting Automation information into process design Interaction with automation vendors including : Technical preparation of vendor bid documents Technical bid analysis of same Review of automation deliverables prepared by vendors To provide technical support to site based engineers during construction phase of a project. In liaison with the Lead Engineer / Project Manager and / or Department Manager, establish the project design and execution requirements Carry out site visits / site surveys Attend project design team meetings and project review meetings Input into concept and basic design reports Preparation of automation and instrumentation deliverables including : Automation strategy documents & Process automation strategy including DCS and PLC Building management systems (BMS) strategy Functional design specification (FDS)- building services and process control Support routine operations for automation aspects such as SCADA, HMI, User administration in compliance with Datasheets and specifications for automation equipment and instrumentation I / O Schedule- building services and process 21CFR part 11 and GAMP v5.0 Compliance Strategy Instrumentation deliverables includingLoop sheets Instrument index Instrument datasheets / specifications & Instrument wiring diagrams General E&I specification for equipment Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Life Sciences Minimum 8 years of experience with Automation / Control systems such as as SCADA / DCS / Delta-V / PLC Experience from pharmaceutical, biotech sectors would be highly preferred Must have experience in project deliverable production in a multi discipline design environment Have ability to work as part of a team and independently Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must be able to maximize efficiency and meet deadlinesYour day-to-day role would involve the following : Inputting Automation information into process design Interaction with automation vendors including : Technical preparation of vendor bid documents Technical bid analysis of same Review of automation deliverables prepared by vendors To provide technical support to site based engineers during construction phase of a project.
