A division of the National Youth Council, OBS is part of a worldwide adventure-based learning network in more than 30 countries. We are a leader in outdoor adventure education and have impacted more than 500,000 youths over the past 50 years.

OBS Instructor Recruitment Process
Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for :
1. ISP Briefing
There will be a briefing session for all candidates to learn more about this meaningful career. You will also get to interact with the OBS team and have your questions answered through the session.
2. Instructor Selection Process (ISP)
Your very own 3D2N outdoor expedition to find out if you have what it takes to be an OBS Instructor. You will go through physically and mentally challenging but rewarding activities over 72 hours. By applying for this round of ISP, you will need to fully commit on the ISP dates on 28 Nov – 30 Nov 2025
3. Panel Interview
This is the final stage of becoming a Trainee Instructor. Bring your best self for a cosy chat with the OBS leaders to find out if there's a good match in terms of job expectations and cultural fit.
Requirements
Important : If you have any of the medical conditions below, you may not be able to participate in the ISP due to safety considerations.
Condition(s) of Concern :
1. Cardiac conditions e.g. ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia, congenital heart conditions.
2. Respiratory conditions e.g. exercise-induced asthma
3. Seizure with history of episode or medication within the last two years.
4. History of anaphylaxis (due to environmental or food allergens)
5. Any condition(s) that may cause :
