Job Description
We are adding an Operations Specialist to our Outsourced Services team in Bangkok, Singapore or South Africa.
Seeking a professional client service oriented individual to oversee the day to day administration of Asset Managers on the SS&C’s Institutional & Investment Management outsourced operational services platform. The person in this role acts as a senior member of a team of individuals whose responsibility it is to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and is also accountable for the daily processing of various client activities. In particular, these activities will mostly focus around processing and custodial reconciliation. In addition, this individual will review and perform all accounting responsibilities, perform daily activities, communicate with clients, vendor / partners and staff regularly ensuring that all tasks and operations are performed on time and per schedule.
Essential Job Functions :
Process daily transaction activity, including trades, corporate actions and cash movements ensuring that all activity is properly reconciled in the system
Reconcile cash, transactions and holdings against all custodian balances
Set up new accounts and securities on the system including working with third party vendors and custodians to ensure account assets and cash are transferred properly
Generate and reconcile performance returns on a daily and monthly basis for portfolios and composites
Research outliers and identify causes of variations
Responsible for creating new client reports, loading data and writing processing documentation
Generate reports for client’s staff and their client on a daily / weekly / monthly / annual basis
Monthly account audits
Qualifications :
BS / BA Degree required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within Financial Services industry, preferably in middle to back office operational processing
Operations experience at investment management firm or vendor providing software or services within this space strongly preferred
Familiarity with SS&C products including HiPortfolio, HiTrust etc. a benefit
Familiarity with software including OMS, Portfolio Management, Performance Measurement etc.
Familiarity with different assets classes; fixed income experience required
Strong analytical ability and knowledge of accounting and securities processing
Experience with the calculation and reporting of performance returns preferable
Experience with client reporting including Client Statements detailing client holdings and performance returns
Self-directed team oriented, individual with strong leadership abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills key to success in this role
Ability to work flexible hours and support clients in various time-zones
