Prepare and check all shipping documents to ensure that are complete and comply with export rules and regulations.
Book cargo space and place insurance for shipment in accordance with established company guidelines.
Liaise with port of authorities, customs officers, transport contractors, suppliers and customers to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments
Attend to queries relating to shipping documents, e.g. from Customs and trade department on declared value of shipments.
Arrange for the sampling or testing of goods by government authorities and other organization, like SGS inspection.
Compile and maintain records of various export figures, duty paid, insurance claims, etc.
Initiate insurance claims for damaged or lost shipments, e.g. arrange for survey, files or process insurance claims, correspond with shipping agents, and / or suppliers, etc.
Co-ordinate with Marketing Executive on shipment details and L / c information
Co-ordinate with Production Department on the product ready date and timing in order to arrange for shipment or delivery
Check L / c validity and ensure L / c compliance with work order and proforma invoice
L / c : - Bank documentation negotiation
Other duties such as DG classification, Freight charges update etc.
