On behalf of our client nationally recognised consultancy they play a critical role in tackling the challenges of urban growth and climate resilience.
We are seeking talented Wastewater and Stormwater Engineers at all levels – Intermediate, Senior or Team Lead – to join their growing team.
We welcome Singaporean applications willing to relocate to Auckland, New Zealand.
About the Opportunity
With accelerating urban development, particularly in Auckland, robust public drainage and wastewater systems are essential.
You will be instrumental in delivering essential upgrades and new systems that support sustainable growth and environmental resilience for key clients, including councils and government agencies across New Zealand.
Location : Central Auckland or our North Auckland satellite office.
The Pipeline : A solid and growing portfolio of government-funded new build, upgrade, subdivision, and public network resilience projects.
Key Focus : Pump station design, large-scale pipe network design, and innovative stormwater management.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include :
Technical Design & Delivery
Design & Upgrade : Developing detailed design packages for stormwater and wastewater networks, including reticulation systems, open-channel solutions, pump stations, rising mains, and gravity sewers.
Hydraulic Expertise : Leading hydraulic design and modelling, pipe sizing, alignment, and material selection for large-scale pipe systems.
Sustainable Solutions : Integrating modern, sustainable stormwater features such as rain gardens, wetlands, soakage systems, and detention ponds.
Approvals : Preparing and supporting resource consent applications and liaising effectively with councils and regulatory authorities.
Leadership & Management (Senior & Team Lead Roles)
Project Management : Overseeing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
Team Leadership : Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to project teams.
Stakeholder Coordination : Managing relationships and coordinating with diverse stakeholders, including iwi, developers, regulatory bodies, and contractors.
Qualification :
A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Must hold a Washington Accord Degree.
Proven design experience in wastewater and stormwater systems, specifically with pump stations and pipelines.
Familiarity with regional and national regulatory frameworks, including New Zealand council and government processes.
A strong commitment to collaborative work, effective communication, and delivering practical, sustainable outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in project management and mentoring / leading technical staff.
