Job descriptionBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering field. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in plant operations or engineering maintenance; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Strong technical knowledge of plant utilities, equipment, and engineering systems. Hands-on maintenance background with strong troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems. Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations. Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams when required. Good teamwork and communication. Able to work on Jurong Island.
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
- Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment. This role ensures optimal functioning of machinery to minimize downtime and increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, HVAC, etc.).
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and logs in line with standard operating procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis of critical and non-critical breakdowns.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with Procurement for ordering.
- Assist in planning and executing plant shutdowns and overhauls.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
