Accountant, Group Reporting (6-months contract)

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a 6-months contract tenure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax-related balance sheet reconciliations for monthly and quarterly US GAAP close
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial statements for assigned APAC entities
• Manage relationships and service levels with external vendors supporting statutory reporting
• Coordinate and manage statutory audits with external auditors
• Partner with Tax teams on corporate tax and indirect tax filings
• Lead initiatives to optimize and transform statutory compliance processes, including tool and process enhancements
• Track and coordinate APAC statutory audit activities with regional and global operations teams
• Act as primary contract administrator, owning end-to-end vendor contracting, billing, purchase orders, and issue resolution
• Maintain project trackers, manage risks, and provide progress and planning updates
• Drive continuous process improvement and attend relevant stakeholder meetings

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a multinational organization or professional services environment
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Strong project delivery experience, including managing tight deadlines
• Advanced analytical capability with strong proficiency in Excel and cloud-based collaboration tools
• Ability to operate independently with a high level of ownership
• Proven experience improving business processes and systems
• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
