Position Overview :
The Head of Infrastructure will be responsible for the support, administration, and continued evolution of SBI DM's technical infrastructure. These environments include the office IT environment (including hardware), the SBI DM network and web sites, the office security systems, and SBI DM's use of cloud platforms. This position requires deep technical experience and varied skill sets, coupled with project management skills, experience in regulated and compliance-focused industries, and a passion for the emerging technologies that underlie digital assets and the future of capital markets. The Head of Infrastructure will report to the CTO but will be partnering on projects and deliverables with the Head of Engineering, the Head of Architecture, and the Head of IT Security, and will often work with other departments in the company on their IT needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
- Manage the support and operations for the overall SBI DM IT environment, including : MS365, AWS, Apple mobile, Windows and Apple laptops, the office network and attached devices, and any software made available in the SBI DM environment.
- Manage IT support tickets and user requests for assistance.
- Design and deliver evolving changes to these platforms and the network, in conjunction with the CTO, the Head of Architecture and the Head of IT Security.
- Evaluate office and network security and perform audits, penetration testing, and compliance information in conjunction with the Head of IT Security.
- Design and execute technical projects to ensure that requirements, milestones and deliverables are met.
- Manage external technology vendors, delivery partners and solution providers.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and vendors appropriate for the SBI DM IT environment, and work with vendors on solution design and implementation.
- Develop technical assets as needed, such as design documents, inventories, and change management databases.
- Participate in the technical steering committees, and any meetings or workshops in which technical expertise of IT infrastructure is needed.
- Work alongside the CTO, the other IT managers, and any other senior technical staff and business stakeholders to set the strategic direction, policies, and deliverables for SBI DM.
- Work with the Head of IT Security and CTO to define policies and standards for risk mitigation and security for the various SBI DM IT environments, using the Monetary Authority of Singapore Technical Risk Management documentation for guidance (for example business continuity planning, data archiving, compliance and audit documentation, etc.).
- Other duties and special projects as needed by the CTO or the senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills :
At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology, as an infrastructure architect or engineer, multi-platform systems administrator, and / or an implementation consultant, preferably in or related to a financial services industry (such as banking, capital markets or insurance).At least 5 years of experience in at least two different solution areas, such as network design, security assessment and design, systems operations and administration, technical project management, troubleshooting and forensic analysis, help desk operations, solution architecture and digital process automation, etc.Have strong technical and problem-solving skills, while at the same time having a customer-oriented focus for supporting the SBI DM user community.Strong preference for experience with multiple IT platforms, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple iOS, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.Experience working with and managing vendors, partners, and solution providers.Familiarity with office systems such as CCTV, card access, AV equipment, and phone systems is helpful but not essential.Experience with blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and / or cryptocurrency is helpful but not required.Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.
