MAIN PURPOSE
The Regional Digital Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, integration, and optimization of point-of-sale (POS) across the organization's regional and Singapore operations. This role serves as a technical and business partner to the regional leadership, vendor management, and project teams to ensure the successful rollout and ongoing support of critical retail technology solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management and Vendor Collaboration
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of regional POS and middleware rollout projects, working closely with vendors to align technology roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies with the support of vendor resources
- Facilitate change management activities to support the seamless adoption of new systems by regional teams
- Facilitate regular progress reviews and performance assessments with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to service-level agreements
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and escalation processes to optimize cost, quality, and reliability of vendor services
- Serve as the regional and Singapore technical liaison between the local IT teams, users and vendors, effectively communicating requirements, issues, and resolutions for rollouts and business as usual
- Work closely with the procurement and legal teams to establish and maintain strong vendor relationships that support the organization's strategic objectives.
Ongoing Support and Optimization
Provide technical “know-how” for regional POS and middleware systems, working closely with the Vendors’ L2 support teamsAnalyze system performance data and identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savingsEnsure availability of documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials to support the regional teams.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in a regional or enterprise-level POS (e.g., Cegid, Retail Pro, Ivend, NEC), support roleProven track record of successfully managing POS and middleware implementations, integrations, and supportStrong technical expertise in POS, including hardware, software, and integrationsExcellent project management and vendor relationship management skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExperience in retail or e-commerce operations, middleware and ERP is preferredWillingness to explore new technologies, project and team playerStrong data analysis and reporting skills to identify optimization opportunities
