The Division of Medical Oncology (DMO) Lung Research Team is seeking to employ a Research Coordinator to assist with recruitment and follow-up, data collection, and biological specimen collection and processing.
This role will be involved in lung cancer studies, including a multi-site lung cancer screening study that looks into screening modalities including blood based and imaging tests, and working with a team of research coordinators.
Potential candidates should be interested in the important public health challenge of reducing lung cancer mortality.
Main Responsibilities :
- Patient recruitment and obtaining informed consent
- Administration of questionnaires
- Follow-up with participants via email, phone, videoconferencing and / or notification letters
- Collection of clinical data, keep records of documentations, data entry, management of database, data cleaning and curation
- Collection and processing^ of biological specimens
- Any other duties required and assigned by supervisor
Key Requirements :
Diploma OR Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or any relevant fields with experience in research or healthcare settingAbility to perform phlebotomy confidently preferredComputer literate, proficient in MS OfficeAble to work independently and willing to be a committed team playerMeticulous with good organizational and time management skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsStrong interest in clinical and translational research and motivated to learnLaboratory training will be provided if candidate possesses a science, laboratory-based and / or relevant qualification.
